This coming Saturday, Wallspace LA is celebrating their one year anniversary. I will be there taking photo of the festivities, and I will have some of my photography on display as well. Wallspace is owned and operated by Valda Lake.
Wallspace showcases the work of a talented and growing stable of los angeles artists in various mediums. A unique hybrid, they offer clean, eclectic and contemporary pieces available for rental or purchase. With the gallery location at 607 north la brea, hung salon style with over 350 pieces of art to view, wallspace represents emerging and mid career artists
Specifically for the film, print & media industry all art has permission for use in motion picture, tv and commercial purposes by the artist. wallspace currently represents over 60 artists.
Wallspace is a dynamic gallery that shows art in a non-conventional setting. Hung salon style on 14′ high walls, their aim has been to create a floor-to-ceiling visceral experience. Valda says, “My goal in opening the gallery space was to give as many emerging and more established Los Angeles artists as possible the opportunity to be seen and exposed but also to create an environment where people can be comfortable with art. Art is a visual experience and the cacophony of artists’ work here gives everyone plenty to talk about. I love and encourage discourse!”
Valda always throws fun and happy events, so I sure that this one will be one of the best so far. Come see the art, meet the artists and drink the win. I look forward to seeing you at Wallspace and invite you to celebrate their one-year anniversary and reception of “1” at Wallspace on Saturday 27th April from 7 to 10pm.
