Tony Edwards. was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, He got his first acting job while attending Occidental College. He then proceeded to make numerous appearances on television mediumheadshotredshows and in commercials.

Later on in his career, while studying in the Harvey Lembeck Comedy Workshop, Tony was introduced to the world of stand-up comedy. He started MCing at the world-famous Improv in Los Angeles after being taken under the wings of co-owners Budd Friedman and Mark Lonow. Since then, he has made many television appearances as a stand-up comedian, including Comedy Central’s “Make Me Laugh”, A&E’S’s “An Evening at the Improv”, VH1’s “Stand-up Spotlight” and the “MTV Half-Hour Comedy Hour”.

Tony has also guest starred on some of the highest rated shows on seinfeldpic1television, including “Mad About You”, “Seinfeld”, “Family Matters” and “Roseanne”. He also was a series regular on the CBS dramatic series “Top of the Hill” with William Katt.

Tony’s feature film appearances include John Carpenter’s “Starman”, “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home”, Hollywood Shuffle” and “Hot Shots! Part Deux”.

In 2002, Tony first attended Burning Man, the annual arts and musictonyinburner1 festival held on a remote, dry lake bed in Northern Nevada,and has attended every year since. In 2007, Tony wrote produced and starred in a one-man show called "Burner: Tales from the Playa" as his playa identity, "OhTony". "Burner" is OhTony's deeply personal account of survival and enlightenment gleaned from the beautiful insanity that is Burning Man. A video of the live performance is available here.

In 2004, Tony was hired by Apple as a Mac Genius at the flagship Apple Store The Grove in Los Angeles. He left Apple in 2006 and now runs his own personal Mac support business.

TCOMlogoiTunes1Tony's latest project, is called "The Church of Mac". His "altar" ego, The Rev. Doctor Bobby Newton, Dr.M, is the spiritual leader and technological guide of The Church of Mac.

Dr. Bobby's mission for The Church of Mac is to spread the good news that salvation is available to all who accept Apple as their personal computing platform.

Tony's mission for The Church of Mac is to take an irreverent spin on the culture of Mac. It's a mash-up of Stephen Colbert, Dr. Michael Beckwith and The Onion. Additionally, TCOM offers Mac news, tips and other information. Sometimes.

When he feels like it, Dr. Bobby releases a new video "iPodcast" (as Dr. Bobby says, “It's 'iPodcasts', because leaving the “i” out of “podcast” is like putting an “x” in “Xmas”). These videos are now available on iTunes.
