We had so much fun that we decided to do it again!
Mark your calendars, because on Friday, April 19th, Bob’s Espresso Bar will once again host “The Veterans of Comedy”. These comics are the people I worked with at The Improv back in the day. They have been on Letterman, Leno and all the top late-night shows. Some headline in Vegas and at the larger venues across the country.
The Veterans of Comedy will happen at Bob’s Espresso Bar in North Hollywood. In addition to great comedy, enjoy delicious espresso, coffee drinks and treats from Porto’s Bakery, served up by your host, Robert Romanos (Did you know that Bob played “Mike Damone” in “Fast Times at Ridgemont High? Now you do.)
To show our appreciation to the talented comics who will be performing for us, we request a a $5.00 donation for the show. All of the donation money will be split among the comics. If you REALLY can’t afford $5.00, come on down anyway. If you can afford more, feel free to show some extra love for these talented folks.
About the venue: Bob’s Espresso Bar is just that, a small espresso bar. Get there early to get a seat, but feel free to stand. And if you were around the comedy scene back in the day, you are sure to run into some old friends.
Bob’s Espresso Bar is one half block north of Magnolia, on the west side of the street, across the street from the Laemmle Theaters.
Our March show with Rick Overton, Carrie Snow, Wendy Leibman, Scott LaRose, Jann Karam and Katsy Chappell was a blast. We look forward to doing the same in April.
See you there!
